ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ
The collection ΕΛΕΥΘΕΡΙΑ / “Freedom” is based on the idea of play and spontaneity, closely related to the concept of freedom. As if by a splash of the ocean, a scattering of transparent stones and glasses polished by water, thrown ashore, where each carries a message, its own secret “water sign” with engraved quotes from ancient authors, reminiscent of freedom, high flight, unfading light. According to one version, the ancient Greek ἐλευθερία (eleutheria) is etymologically related to the expression “to go where you wish”. The combination of materials (natural stones and acrylic glass), the search for a balance between hard and soft, cold and warm, involve the viewer and the wearer of jewelry in a game of independent search for combinations of shapes, colors and ideas — their own formula of freedom. Due to the minimal use of metal, the outlines and beauty of the natural forms of stones and acrylic glass echoing them are preserved, translating the concepts of freedom and openness at the visual level.
